It maps out how to spark first-time engagements across the entire experience.
Arthur’s Pass National Park Visitor Centre Redevelopment
A user-centered redesign for the Arthur’s Pass visitor centre redefines the facility as a Conservation Hub. Layered stories and experiences become the means with which to invite people to become part of the country's conservation mission.
Ararira Wetland Community Restoration Project
A restoration design reimagines a degraded wetland into an inspiring outdoor classroom where planting events connect people with place. The landscape's patterns evoke inanga, tuna, and a lazy river, nurturing both ecological renewal and a community of learners and stewards in a shared space.
Kiwi Ranger Programme New Zealand
Kiwi Ranger is a hands-on education programme designed by WildLab to connect tamariki and their whānau with the natural world through playful, site-specific activities. From tasting honeydew to sculpting driftwood and exploring barefoot, each location offers a unique, sensory experience. The programme ran at 16 sites and was the nationwide pilot for DOC's Kiwi Guardians initiative.

This project weaves together ecological design, viticultural insight, and community storytelling to show how wine and wild nature can thrive side by side.
Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Social Housing
A small urban pocket transforms into a vibrant, native‑plant sanctuary around three homes, offering more than housing. Thoughtfully designed landscapes, with decks oriented toward Aoraki, welcome native birds and foster ecological renewal—turning a modest development into a green, community‑inspired haven.
